Donate your Fiber Arts talent

Alpacas were domesticated to grow long beautiful fiber. All that hair can get hot in the summer, so it’s important that alpacas are shorn every spring. There are many uses for their fiber, including making hats, scarves, gloves, socks and clothing! If you’re able to process fiber, spin, knit, crochet, weave, or felt, you could absolutely put your talents toward an altruistic goal. Products made from this fiber can be sold to help support SAR.
